About Selina
I am currently studying Sociology and Social Anthropology at the University of Kent, and so I am available for Cambridge based tutoring during all school holidays. I am friendly and enthusiastic, and prefer one-to-one sessions to online sessions (although I am available for online sessions during term time when needed).
My strongest areas are Sociology (A-Level) and Maths (GCSE), however I am also able to tutor GCSE level History, Geography, Chemistry, Biology and Physics to a high level.
I have 5 years of tutoring experience of individuals from the ages of 5 to 16, in a range of topic areas. References are available.

For areas such as Maths and Science, I see constant repetition as the best method, and attempt to make this as fun as possible. With subjects such as Sociology and the Humanities, I believe being able to visualise theories/timelines/processes is the most beneficial way to learn. Although any method I adopt is easily adaptable to the students preference!

Selina would be a great and trustworthy tutor as she always has an amazing enthusiasm and positive outlook on her work. I’ve known and worked with Selina as her manager for over 2 years and within those she has proved herself as a hardworking individual. She has overcome hurdles that come her way in a calm and collective manner making sure that she stays professional at all times.
She is calm and measured, thinks carefully about what the pupil’s needs are. She is kind and thoughtful, and gives confidence to the student by only ever giving positive validation. Highly recommended for pupils with dyslexia.
