About Frances
I am a semi-professional musician and Music Scholar at the University of Leicester, with more than 3 years of experience in composition, appraising and performing.
A-Level Music, grade 8 ABRSM singing and music theory, with a performance dipABRSM.
I am eager to teach; music education is a topic very close to my heart, and I am aware that Music at GCSE and A-Level is often trickier than teachers let on! It is my greatest desire to help others learn.

My lessons are fun, engaging and student-led, building on a fundamental understanding of music theory and modern musicology as opposed to simply learning enough to pass an exam.
I have experience in tutoring GCSE and A-Level students and assisting in composition projects, alongside a multitude of years of being a classical composer and performer.
My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE and A-Level students who want to focus on gaining confidence in music theory, essay technique or compositional technique. But in reality, they are for anyone!
