Teaching feels less like a performance and more like a quiet investigation into how sound is produced. It is strange to admit that I find the most joy in the tedious study of scales and arpeggios rather than the final recital.
My own training started at the Conservatoire with violin as my primary focus. I work frequently with grade exam candidates and advanced learners who require a technical polish on their posture and hold.
