- What kind of experience do you have?
I have had many years of experience teaching piano to both children and adults. I am familiar with the ABRSM syllabus, and have also prepared students for music theory exams.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
No.
- Where and with whom did you train?
At the Royal Academy of Music, I studied with then Head of Keyboard, Professor Christopher Elton, and also took place in several masterclasses and lessons with guest professors. Prior to that, I studied with Elizabeth Powell, then Head of Keyboard at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

I am a concert pianist, and enjoy teaching piano students of all levels alongside my performance work and academic research in musical performance.

Classical piano and music theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
PhD in Performance Practice (Royal Academy of Music) on the solo piano music of Franz Liszt.
MMus in Performance (Royal Academy of Music), Distinction.
BMus in Performance (Sydney Conservatorium of Music), 1st Class Honours, University Medal.
- How much do you charge?
£60/hr for piano, £60/hr for music theory.
A supplementary travel fee may be required depending on location.
- Where do you teach?
Teaching location is negotiable - I teach on a grand piano in a private studio in South Kensington (London SW7), but am also willing to travel to student's homes in central London depending on instrument quality and distance.
- When are you available?
Weekdays before 5pm are most available, but additional times can be discussed. School holiday periods are more flexible.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
From 6+ to adults. I have worked with children from beginner to advanced level, adult amateurs, and university-level students.
