About Molly
When I was younger I was obsessed with DJs, knew I would love to be one, but just had absolutely no idea how to access it. It was attending some all-female DJ workshops that showed me it was possible - that changed everything. I’ve now been DJing for almost 7 years, cultivating my own sound of techno/electro/trance, though I’ve frequently held down more commercial residencies. I’ve performed at clubs and festivals across the UK, and run my own events and community radio station/booking agency. I’m also a key member of SISU, a collective for FLINTA DJs. I’d love to help others see that they can DJ too, that it’s not out of reach. I’ve taught lots of people how to mix — mainly female and marginalised gender students — and have run youth workshops, sharing skills, confidence, and the joy and creativity in DJing.

Getting into DJing can feel intimidating - I know because I put it off for years myself. My lessons are patient, practical and tailored to your own style and musical taste, whether you’re just starting out or want to sharpen your skills. We’ll cover the essentials in a hands-on way, including: DJ basics and a proper tour of CDJs/mixer, showing you what all the buttons and functions are - Track organisation and how to build a library that works - Where to find your music and how to find your own sound - Using Rekordbox - Phrasing, EQ, looping and smooth transitions. I’ve played lots of gigs across the UK and also founded a community radio station, so I can give advice on presenting, building a set and navigating the DJ scene. Learning to DJ should be fun, and there isn’t one way for everyone to learn. I want to help you build confidence and explore your creativity, while in a safe and supportive environment.
