About Sylwia
I'm a First Class BA(Hons) Graduate in Fashion Design and Technology at Manchester Fashion Institute with an industry experience in design and garment construction. My graduate collection was showcased during Graduate London Fashion Week in 2019. My work was also exhibited in Manchester Art Gallery as a part of 'Future Couture' exhibition and during the annual IFFTI Awards (International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes). In my previous work, I have tutored for a small group of art students aged 13-16 in Manchester. I have also worked for commercial fashion brands including The Fold London, Leonard Silver, John Victor and Dior. Currently I am working as a demonstrator tutor in Fashion and Textiles department where I support FE and HE students.

My teaching method is tailored to your individual needs based on your level of knowledge and personal goals. I will provide you with all possible help to get you achieve what you want. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or already have some experience- my lessons are directed to students finishing their GCSE, A-levels/BTEC and University students. I offer free 1h consultation where I will look through your previous work and will create a lesson plan tailored especially for you. If you are a beginner and you don’t have any previous work, we can just simply discuss what you’d like to learn and plan your lessons accordingly. Things that I can help you with: - Presentation style: choosing right techniques and methods in order to create unique and visually appealing portfolio - Building strong design concepts- I will encourage you to think outside of the box and become more experimental in your creative practice - Fabrics and Textiles - Technical Drawings and Fashion Illustration - Creating technical specification - Pattern Cutting - Garment Technology and Manufacturing I have an extensive knowledge in Adobe Suites and I can guide students in how to produce their digital portfolio boards, illustration, and technical drawings. I am happy to supply drawing and sewing materials, however this needs to be discussed beforehand.
