About Cheng Yi
I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who believes that learning should be enjoyable, meaningful, and tailored to each student. I love teaching Mathematics using creative and varied methods that help students truly understand concepts rather than just memorize them. By adapting my approach to different learning styles, I make math clearer, more engaging, and less intimidating.
I also guide students in music with sensitivity and care, helping them express their feelings and emotions through the art. For me, both subjects - whether numbers or melodies - are best learned when students feel connected, motivated, and happy.
I strongly believe that education can be as fun and fulfilling as a hobby. When students enjoy the process, they learn better, gain confidence, and develop a genuine love for the subject. My goal is to create a supportive and joyful learning environment where every student feels encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.

I believe every student learns differently. That’s why I customise my teaching plans according to each student’s learning style, pace, and goals. Whether you prefer step-by-step explanations, visual methods, or practice-focused sessions, I will adapt my approach to help you understand and enjoy the subject.
With over 5 years of experience teaching more than 20 students on a one-to-one basis, I have helped learners from Primary level up to SPM, IGCSE, and UEC. Lessons are flexible in length — they can be 1 hour, 90 minutes, or longer, depending on your needs and concentration level.
