About Blake
I’m a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, painting and drawing, with a deep passion for abstraction and experimental processes. I typically work on a large scale with some of my installations reaching 9m tall of occupying entire rooms. My practice aims to provide the audience with an internal speechlessness that cannot be defined. Rejecting much of the art world's attitude, I decided to carve my own path by co-founding an exhibition space under an event organisation called Love Project in Melbourne, Australia. These events combined the gallery space with live experimental dance music. Each event included performance art, sculpture, painting, prints, drawing, live painting and more. As a VCA graduate, NGV Top Arts exhibitor and qualified art teacher, I’m passionate about helping people discover their own creative expression and carve a unique path for themselves.

These lessons are not for those creating still-life paintings or those wanting to learn basic technique. These lessons are for those who want to push the boundaries of creative expression by creating balanced, original and powerful art.
Each lesson kicks off with a bite-sized creative spark to introduce the key ideas of the session (20-30min). After that, we dive into your current projects, uncovering areas for growth and further experimentation. This process ensures that by the end of each lesson you have have a clear direction to explore during your studio time.
I will teach you a range of unique abstract art-making techniques that we can customise to your making style. These strategies will push your practice and help you create truly original work. Lessons are flexible (90+ minutes ideal).
I’m a VCA Sculpture graduate and NGV Top Arts exhibitor with 10 years of art-making, exhibitions, live painting performances experience. I have a Masters of Teaching in Art and am currently teaching art and, design at a VCE level in secondary schools.
Perfect for beginners and intermediates ready to experiment, play and level up their creative practice.
