I use a child-centred, supportive approach that builds confidence alongside skills. My teaching focuses on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, using discussion, modelling and targeted practice to help students feel secure and capable. I adapt each lesson to the individual, ensuring it is engaging, structured and responsive to their needs.
Lessons typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, providing enough time for focused learning while maintaining energy and attention.
I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE from the University of Exeter, and have 5 years’ experience teaching KS3–KS5 English. I have supported students of all abilities, including those needing extra confidence as well as those aiming for top grades.
My lessons are suitable for KS3, GCSE and A-Level students, and I particularly enjoy helping learners develop their writing skills, exam technique and overall confidence in English.
