About Kent
I have a Bachelor of Arts from University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Education from Western University.
I have many years experience teaching in the public schools of Ontario and British Columbia. I have 4 years experience teaching English online to students in China. I have experience as a private tutor with students from Japan, Vietnam, Brazil, and China. I volunteered for 18 months for Immigrant Services Guelph teaching English to new Canadian adults from China.

I have 4 years experience teaching ESL. I can help you prepare for the IELTS. My students start with a practice IELTS test. Based on your score, we prepare a plan for your own progress and success. I can teach you in your home, or online using Zoom. I teach by acting as a facilitator and personal model for my students. We will practice pronunciation and vocabulary and you will learn how to speak English without wasting words or time. In English we call this "getting to the point."
If you are not studying for the IELTS and want to improve your English, I can help you improve your everyday practical command of English.
