About Rosie
Originally from West Sussex, Rosie Sutton completed her Masters at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2022, having moved to Manchester in 2018 to read music at The University of Manchester, and graduating in 2021 with a first-class degree. She now works professionally in arts administration with the Hallé Orchestra in Manchester, initially as the Assistant Orchestra Manager and now as the Youth Ensembles Administrator.
Rosie has performed in many competitions and music festivals, including Worthing, Farnham, Alderley Edge, and Reigate and Redhill, as well as becoming the youngest winner of the National RIBI Young Musician of the Year in 2013. There have been many significant highlights in her professional career, including working closely with English composer Michael Finnissy for the Spectrum 5 book launch held at The Royal College of Music where Rosie attended the junior conservatoire (RCMJD) for five years. During her time at university, Rosie participated in many projects and opportunities such as becoming a répétiteur for the university’s opera production of Jonathan Dove’s ‘The Enchanted Pig’, accompanying for recitals, conducting a chamber choir, founding a two-piano ensemble, and successfully auditioning for a concerto position in her final year.
Rosie has been working closely with the Hallé youth ensembles for several years, accompanying the Hallé Training Choir and assistant managing the Hallé Youth Orchestra and Youth Choir. This includes recent performances on piano and celeste for orchestral works with the Hallé Youth Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall. Rosie also performed with fellow RNCM piano students at Forsyth Music Shop in April featuring one of her own compositions ‘Elemental Souls’ for two pianos, eight hands.

I teach different levels of piano and music theory, catering the lessons specifically to the individual's ability. Our first lesson will be mostly an introduction to each other and assessing your performance and academic abilities, but this will be in a relaxed environment. The most important thing to remember is to have fun and play with passion!
I teach lessons both in-person and online.
I am also offering 1-1 tuition for GCSE and A-Level Music.
