About Jeanne
Teacher for a few years, I am interested in traditional dances of the world and have studied more particularly Oriental dances: Egypt, Maghreb, Spain, Balkans, North India. I am passionate about the transmission of these wonderful dances to invite each woman on a journey in her body, to let herself be danced by the rhythms and to find the right movement in the body to make a link between the power of the Earth and the fluidity of the Air.

The courses that I offer are an invitation to come and travel in your own body, to discover new sensations, new movements, new possibilities of meeting your body. My classes are intended for people who are completely new to dance, as well as for women who have already practiced for several years. My training is multiple, I use music that comes from different parts of the Orient, with distinct rhythms, to arouse your curiosity and your musical listening. We will work on each part of the body in isolation at first, then I will suggest simple or more complex choreographies depending on your level, on more or less difficult rhythms. We will also have the opportunity to work with a percussionist. As a teacher, what matters to me is that everyone can have fun & learn, while connecting consciously to their body: listen and follow the rhythms, work on the correct body posture in order to build muscles naturally without hurt, laugh, have fun.

J’ai connu Jeanne en Guyane où nos 2 associations étaient partenaires pour donner des cours de danses orientales.
Jeanne est très pédagogue, très à l’écoute et est capable d’enseigner plein de styles de danses différents.
Nous avons ensemble passé un week-end entier dédié à la danse, avec un groupe de danseuses amatrices de tous niveaux, entre danse, repas, bons moments.
