The teaching methodology I employ is to engage and motivate the student by use of innovative creative resources that stimulates creativity and retention - the keys to achieving exceptional grades at any level.
First, I make a pre-assessment as to the learning style of the student whether visual, auditory or kinaesthetic. Then I assess their level in English before devising a program best suited to achieve the required target level whether a grade A in GCSE English Language and English Literature or a distinction in an Entrance exam to an Independent School or Grammar School.
The resources I use are Exam Board approved, current and interactive. The levels range from Primary Key Stage 2 through Secondary Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to GCSE. Past exam papers are used to assess progress and potential grades. Homework is set to resolve any difficulties encountered in class as well as to re-enforce and further learning in the subject. Parents and guardians are kept informed of progress and outcomes.
I am an outstanding English teacher with 20 plus years experience in tutoring English Language and English Literature to students aged 7 to 18 with outstanding success at GCSE (grades A*/A**) and Exam Entrance level.
My academic qualification includes a BA degree in English, Speech and Drama, a Higher Education Diploma, and various diplomas in teaching Literacy and Numeracy.
My professional experience includes classroom teaching in Primary, Secondary, and Further education establishments, and gained Qualified Teacher Status in 2006.
I have tutored to individuals and groups in private sessions with students achieving top grades (A*/A**).
I have the knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure your success at whatever level by use of innovative teaching methods and resources designed to engage and motivate so that you can achieve your full potential.
