About Hugo
As an ESL tutor with 7 years of experience, I specialise in helping high school and college students strengthen their English proficiency through personalised, interactive, and engaging lessons. My approach centres on understanding each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals, allowing me to design lessons that maximise both learning and confidence.
I cover all essential language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking, while incorporating practical exercises, role-plays, and real-life scenarios to ensure students can apply their knowledge outside the classroom.

My ESL teaching methodology follows the C³P approach—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving. I encourage creativity through storytelling, role-playing, and interactive projects that allow students to experiment with language while expressing ideas confidently.
Communication is emphasised in all lessons through debates, discussions, and collaborative exercises, helping students improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence in real-life situations. Compassion guides my teaching; I tailor lessons to individual needs, ensuring support, motivation, and encouragement at every stage.
Problem-solving is integrated via scenario-based activities, practical tasks, and analytical exercises, allowing students to apply English logically and effectively. I also include related subjects such as reading comprehension, writing skills, and vocabulary building to strengthen overall academic performance.
This methodology cultivates learners who are confident, creative, empathetic, and capable of using English effectively in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
