About Alan
Maths can be a subject which, if taught badly, can put some one off for life. Having an empathetic teacher who encourages questions, can raise understanding, boost confidence and lead to higher marks
I think teaching maths face-to-face is more effective than on line. I find it easier to explain equations, algebra etc face-to-face and the student finds it easier to understand

My approach is tailored to the needs of the student. From brushing up on a few tricky areas to a more in depth teaching. I am very patient and enjoy seeing students grow in understanding and confidence.
The lesson typically lasts an hour with homework to consolidate the learning.

I’ve always been a bit nervous when it came to maths exams, but Alan was really patient and helpful with me working through the basics and then slowly introducing new concepts. He’s great at breaking things down, I’d recommend him to anyone :)
