About Isla
I am a History and German student at the University of Oxford. I have three A*s at A Level (English Literature, History and German) and got a distinction in my first year exams at university.
I have four months of online tutoring experience teaching students who have been adversely affected by school closurses. I've been working with the students over a long period building analytical skills, teaching new content that has been missed due to the pandemic and doing exam practice, as well as building confidence and self-belief and encouraging their individual academic voices and interests.

I like to work conceptually, focusing on areas the student is struggling with and integrating skill building with learning new content. Every lesson is designed with an eye to revision, so that the student leaves with notes they can condense and recap from as well as new exam skills
