My teaching method depends on who I am teaching. I am always happy to use school materials to make sure the student is fully understanding what is being covered in class but also enjoy putting together my own worksheets or using different resources that best suit the student.
With younger children it is always better to have a specific task to focus on and work through whereas with older students the activity can change or be more conversation based!
I have just finished my undergraduate degree at Oxford University.
I studied French and Italian (both language and literature) and spent a year living in Paris/Rome as part of my degree. Before studying at university I spent a year in Paris/Madrid/Buenos Aires so also have a basic understanding of Spanish. Throughout these experiences I have taught English as a second language to non native speakers of a whole range of ages (from 2 up to 45!).
I studied languages at school so am familiar with the exam technique demanded at GCSE/AS and A Level stages and would be happy to support school students in their French studies!
I come from Kent but have lived in Oxford since 2014 and am currently living in East Oxford, I also have a car!
