About Gabriel
About me:
======================
I hold a doctorate in Biological Physics and a first-class Masters in Physics, both from the University of Oxford. I have published research in leading scientific journals (including the cover article of Science magazine), and given technical and popular scientific talks around the world. I have also applied my scientific expertise in industry, and hold several patents that are currently being commercially exploited.
Tutoring experience:
======================
I have a life-long love of tutoring, and have the ability to explain complex topics clearly, concisely, and in an engaging way. Last year I held hundreds of online tutorials, with unanimously positive feedback.
Over a period of ten years, I have tutored secondary school students, university undergraduates, university postgraduates (Masters and doctoral students), interns in companies, and my own employees. My style is heavily influenced by the Oxford tutorial system.
Approach to tutoring:
======================
I make physics and maths intuitive for my students so that they can tackle problems fearlessly. I achieve this by a combination of a deep knowledge of the subject, and strong empathy with each student.
My expertise and real-life experience of using physics and maths allows me to answer any question the student might have in an informed and compelling way, without bluffing or confusing explanations. A sensitive approach with the student allows me to present the topic in a way compatible with their motivations, and to test their knowledge in a rigorous and non-confrontational way. I am told that I am exceptionally patient and have an infectious enthusiasm.
On a practical level, I employ whatever technique is best suited for the particular student and topic. Besides pen and paper, occasionally great benefit can come from drawing pictures, performing simple practical experiments, seeing photographs or exploring computer simulations.

Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Gabriel.
Perfect! Gabriel is an excellent teacher.
Subject :Perfect! The best!
Gabriel's best quality was to explain horribly complicated things in a clear and simple way. He provided our son not only with a highly organised knowledge, exam skills & techniques, but, most importantly, with a skill on how to learn efficiently going forward and how to break down complex material into simpler 'chunks' and to understand and to remember the material. Our son was very confident on his exam and was very close to the highest 7 mark ( on IB Maths this is the top grade ) which we did not expect. The best Maths & Physics tutor I have known in my life. Highly recommended!
