About Jade
I am a third year undergraduate at University of Oxford, reading History and English Language and Literature. I enjoy tutoring and have a variety of experience which means I am confident in preparing and delivering a variety of different lessons. I have experience teaching children French in small or individual classes, as well as online tutoring for A Level and GCSE, presenting historical artefacts to the public as well as teaching and leading dance activities.

The lesson structure will be tailored to your specific needs. It is often useful if I can access some of your work before the lesson, so I can identify key areas to focus on. At the beginning of each lesson we will plan and set goals, which can be then reassessed at the end of the lesson.
Some examples of lessons:
If it is generic essay writing with which you struggle, then we will go through some of your previous essays and re-write them, and then apply the techniques to new responses.
If you are struggling to learn a topic, or to revise, I will prepare different exercises which we can go through and find out which one works best for you (e.g. whether you have more a visual memory, or find it easier to remember lists of facts). We can then go through the content using these learning techniques, clarifying areas which are difficult, and then I will test you to see how much more work we need to do on the topic.
If you are seeking help for applications, I can ask you questions which will help guide the writing of your personal statement - I will not write it for you, it is important that it all comes from yourself! I can ask you practice interview questions and give you advice for application tests, going through model answers so you can better understand what they are looking for.
