About Fin
My primary areas of expertise are History and Economics, which I have a genuine care for tutoring in not only because of my personal love for what each subject has to offer but also the benefits beyond grades of having taken an interest; what I have learnt from each really has changed my approach to thinking and working.
I would say that what differentiates me as a tutor is a positive and adaptable approach to working at the subject, taking the time to look at the areas and skills you want to spend time on and working deliberately at them. I can offer a depth of advice to students having recently undertaken the very same challenges, sharing what allowed me to succeed with an up-to-date understanding of what it is like to study the subject today.

Having now delivered almost 100 hours of lessons across a variety of subjects and age ranges, I can confidently say that I offer lessons in a friendly, adaptable, and engaging style.
Sessions are typically an hour long, moving from thorough explanations of tricky theory to exercises which consolidate that understanding. This, for me, is the grounding which later allows me to give helpful personalised feedback on how to apply that knowledge to an exam - which I believe I'm especially suited to given my recent experience in sitting them.
I find this to be a strong but flexible foundation which can make a real difference at both GCSE and A-Level.
