About Áilill
I hold a 168-hour Advanced TEFL qualification from the International TEFL Academy and have taught more than 2,000 hours of English to students from a wide range of backgrounds. My students are typically business professionals, university applicants targeting elite institutions, and language learner hobbyists.
My wider relevant experience includes teaching Sociology and Criminology to academically-gifted secondary school students and working for four years as a debate instructor with the European Youth Parliament. Academically, I hold a BA in History and Politics from Trinity College Dublin, where I graduated in the top 1% of my class as a Foundation Scholar. I also hold an MSt in Women's Studies from the University of Oxford, where I was awarded the Clarendon Scholarship.

My lessons are interactive, practical, and tailored. Throughout the course of a natural conversation, I provide corrections, explanations, and suggestions. I also offer guided reading sessions with vocabulary and style analysis, as well as detailed feedback on writing assignments and targeted preparation for ESOL exams, including IELTS and Cambridge English.
Lessons are best suited to intermediate and advanced learners (B1–C2).
