About Gwen
Hi! I’m Gwen and I want to teach because it is such a pleasure to see students developing in ability, confidence and outlook over the course of our lessons. I would look forward to identifying issues that the student is encountering and doing my best to help them through and to better understand French. As a student, I struggled in some areas of French learning and learnt grammar and vocabulary from the ground up. I know the pitfalls and the difficulties and want to help others avoid them. My hobbies include piano, singing, travelling and ballet.

I will tailor sessions according to your goals, ability and progress. As a teacher, I am adept with chunking input, grammar-led learning and rote learning of vocabulary. I am led by your preferred approach and will adapt sessions according to your own methods of learning, ensuring complete understanding of topics. I am also very familiar with the EDEXCEL GCSE syllabus and can tailor lessons according to various requirements
