About Gill
I'm a former teacher at a leading girls' public school, where I taught for 13 years, with pupils ranging from 12 years, well pre-GCSE, up to some brilliant Further Maths A Level and Special Paper students. I now write travel books, give travel talks, and breed and compete rare breed horses! But I continue to enjoy my Maths.

I begin by finding the areas where a student needs more thorough understanding, either by asking directly what topics they would like to unpick, or starting from the (question-solving) problems they bring me where they need help. This allows me to go back the necessary number of steps to ground them thoroughly in the basics of that topic; then work through some examples at that day's level (and set some for the student to take away and tackle alone) before working up through subsequent levels of that topic. Repeat for as many topics as necessary!

First lesson free. Thereafter £35 an hour. I am willing to travel up to 20 miles from HR9 6DZ, with a small extra cost for travel expenses (£5 - £15, depending on distance.)
I don't do "packs", but the Superprof website won't let me opt out!
