About Rou
Bonjour! I’m Rou, a dedicated French tutor with a unique personal journey. I lived in Paris for six years, where I learned French from scratch and reached fluency in just a few months. That intensive real-life immersion taught me the fastest and most effective techniques to speak naturally and confidently — and now I’m passionate about sharing them with my students.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your fluency, I’ll help you avoid common struggles and learn smarter, not harder. My lessons focus on practical conversation, real Parisian expressions, pronunciation, and the shortcuts that actually work. I’m patient, encouraging, and fully committed to making French fun and achievable for every student.
Outside of teaching, I love French cuisine, sharing the culture, and everything related to perfumes. I often bring these passions into my lessons so you can discover not just the language, but the rich French way of life too!

Textbook French and spoken French are two very different languages. Why spend hours memorising complex rules when you can pass the weekend learning the living language as we do as children?
My goal is to provide the basics so you can be prepared to visit and truly interact with France and its culture.
For any level, even if it’s to brush up before a holiday.
I still have students, who practised one week, and two years later are able to write to me in beautiful French.
