About Joanna
I've been teaching for 11 years, however for the last 2 years I have dedicated myself to tutoring and Tefol teaching. I have done both group and individual lessons. I recently worked with a group of 8 male construction workers, so that was fun as well as challenging but in a good way. I also taught a couple of individual students these past few months. I have been tutoring children from the ages of 5 to 10 years of age as well.

I firmly believe that a student will learn if the classes are fun, so I like incorporate variety to my lessons, and use different concepts, for instance Realia is very good for Tefol students. It also depends on the student - what works for one student doesn't necessarily work for another student. I like to do an assessment before I actually teach the student, know what their weaknesses are in the subject and get what they want to learn and improve on and what their goals are and the idea is to work on what they are not so good at, and improve, as well as learn new concepts and ideas.
With Tefol students - The idea is to improve their English, their vocabulary skills and grammar. We will works on ways to improve all these skills as well as helping themselves to improve out of the classroom.
