About Manchester Tutoring
I've taught skateboarding both free-lance and with organizations for the past five years. This career has taken me from free-lance coaching in London to coaching in Refugee Camps in Greece, in schools across Kenya, and now with youth groups and free-lance here in Manchester.
Throughout these experiences, I've seen lives being changed on a skateboard. People have gained so much confidence through learning to skateboard. And experience newfound freedom as they constantly push their boundaries and fears. It's these experiences that keeps me skating all day every day.

Each lesson begin with a smile. A brief conversation about what inspires us to skate, our fears, hopes and ambitions. Before we jump on the board. We then demonstrate a few tricks and tips, before mastering the biggest trick of them all: staying safe on the board.
We'll begin with foot positioning, cruising, tick-tacking (turning) and stopping. Before experimenting with free-riding across the terrain and answering questions and angst.
For more advanced skateboarding I tend to tailor lessons to the strengths of the student. Breaking down tricks, diagnosing common mistakes, and importantly, providing inspiration on what to learn next.
Every skater will have things they find easier and harder, and everyone even the pros are constantly learning. It is the act of facing fears and overcoming them that keeps us hooked to skateboarding. With this, I tend to offer a more holistic approach to teaching skateboarding. The skateboard is a great way to express yourself and find freedom in your body as you cruise through the streets. This is what I hope to inspire in all of my students.

For students and those on Low income, I offer £5 discount. With group lessons charge £30 pounds an hour. Groups range between 2-6 Students at a time.
