As a mathematics tutor for students from Grades 5 to 10, my approach is simple: make math understandable, relatable, and enjoyable. I focus on building strong conceptual clarity before moving on to problem-solving and exam strategies.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I explain concepts using real-life examples, visual aids, and step-by-step breakdowns.
I ensure students understand the 'why' behind each formula, not just memorize it.
I use regular quizzes, timed tests, and revision worksheets to track progress.
For weak areas, I offer targeted practice and simpler explanations until the student gains confidence.
I incorporate mnemonics, tricks, and shortcut methods for topics like BODMAS, algebra, and geometry.
Class Structure
5 mins: Quick revision of the previous topic.
25–30 mins: Teaching the new topic using examples.
10–15 mins: Practice problems with my guidance.
Last 5–10 mins: Summary, doubts, and a quick test/homework.
