About Richard
I am a passionate, dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated primary teacher. I am a lifelong learner, and I enjoy instilling this same work ethic and positive attitude towards learning in my pupils.
I am creative and I enjoy drama, singing, acting, reading and outdoor pursuits in my spare time. I like to get to know my pupils' personal interests, aspirations and goals which not only helps build rapport and a positive relationship between us, this also helps to be able to incorporate these into sessions to ensure personalisation.

I have been teaching in Glasgow for almost 8 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! I have especially loved observing pupils' confidence, independence and ability grow as well as seeing their progression and blossoming into confident, responsible, successful and independent learners.
I have had experience in teaching and learning in KS1 and KS2 in all subjects and always make sure to identify individual learners' needs and any gaps in their knowledge, understanding and skills. Learning materials are as a result differentiated, individualised and take into account personalisation, choice, thus ensuring these are engaging to sustain motivation and interest.
I am flexible in the length and frequency of the sessions, and I strive to deliver these on days and times which are most suitable and convenient for the families I work with.
