About Vincent
Are you an aspiring beginner, intermediate or advancing guitarist looking to improve their playing? Or have you never picked up the instrument before and are searching for someone to guide you through the basics? Then I am here to help you achieve your musical goals! My name is Vinnie Holmes, I’ve been playing guitar for 10 years and I have a 1st Class Honours degree in Popular Music Performance from BIMM London (2016), a Grade 8 distinction in Trinity Rock School guitar and a basic DBS check. I’m currently working as a performing musician in London and am able to teach a variety of modern genres including rock, blues, funk, folk, soul, heavy metal and jazz - but I particularly specialise in rock. I also have plenty of experience with songwriting & an expansive knowledge of music theory. Lessons will be held within the comfort of your own home, I am willing to travel up to 5 miles from East Putney Station.
I strive to specifically tailor my lessons to each one of my students' personal goals and abilities. Whether you want to delve deep into one specific genre; be a versatile and rounded a musician who is adapt in a multitude of styles; focus hard on improving your technique as efficiently and effectively as possible or just learn some basic chords then I will help to get you there whilst ensuring that learning the instrument is always a fun and enjoyable experience. Having studied at one of the UK’s top music schools and currently performing an eclectic mixture of gigs on a weekly basis, I have a wealth of knowledge and passion that I am very eager to share with you all.
