About Sachin
I am an Economics teacher at a leading independent girls' school and a very experienced personal tutor who has taught over 1000 economics tuition hours to a range of different students. Results for A level Economics at my school were outstanding this year. Out of 17 students, 11 achieved A*s! Many past tutees have also achieved A*- A grades. Although the majority of my tutoring takes place face to face, I have successfully tutored students online via Skype. I have had residential tuition experience. Earlier this year I spent 3 weeks in Moscow tutoring an A level student who attends Harrow School. I have tutored online to students in Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Poland, to name a few. My tutees have included A level, GCSE, undergraduate, postgraduate and pre-University students from a range of backgrounds and abilities, many of whom have attended the country’s leading public schools: Harrow, Winchester and Westminster being amongst them. I have tutored to the specifications of all examination boards, and also am an economics examiner for the AQA and Edexcel examination boards which has given me an invaluable insight into exam technique and requirements. Whilst I aim to ensure vigorous and thorough learning, my approach is patient and encouraging, designed to instil great confidence in the student. My interests include tennis, travel, and the arts. Sachin tutored me for my economics exams for the postgraduate degree at imperial college business school. Ive been very happy with my results, and my understanding of the subject matter.Sachin tutored me in Standard Level economics for the international baccalaureate. He really took the time to make sure I understood how all the basic things worked so that as it more complicated I could expand on that knowledge. He was also very good at marking past papers and making sure that I knew the requirements and how to get the most marks possible. Furthermore the help that he gave me for my coursework was great, he actually made the topics really interesting so that writing it became more of a discussion. He made me enjoy the subject much more.
IB economics higher - Sachin took my son through the IB higher Economics - he did a great job - my son had to pick up economics having changed from chemistry and sachin helped him start and basically cram a term's work into 6 weeks.
