About Ayumi
Hello! I’m Ayumi, a native Japanese speaker from Japan with over 8 years of teaching experience. I’ve taught children, teens, and adults in both private and group lessons, helping students achieve a wide range of goals—from everyday conversation and travel to business Japanese and JLPT preparation.
Before becoming a Japanese teacher, I served as an officer in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, where I developed strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Today, I bring that same professionalism, patience, and dedication to every lesson.
I believe learning a language should be enjoyable and encouraging. My goal is to help you feel confident using Japanese while making steady progress in a supportive learning environment. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!
