About Gyvayhni
Hello, I'm Gyvayhni, a Software Developer at an MNC technology company.
Math has always been my strongest subject. I scored [A in SPM Mathematics and Additional Mathematics], and today I use logical thinking and problem-solving every day in my work. That experience helps me explain difficult concepts in a clear, practical way that students can relate to.
I believe every student can do well in math with the right guidance. I'm patient and well-prepared, and I adapt each lesson to the student's pace and learning style. Hi, I'm Gyvayhni! I'm a Software Developer, and I use math every day in my work. I love helping students see that math isn't just formulas to memorize. It's a way of thinking that you can learn step by step.
My teaching approach:
- Understanding first, memorizing second. I explain why a method works before we practice it, so you can handle questions you haven't seen before.
- Find the gaps. In our first lesson I find out where you're struggling and start from there. Many problems in Form 4–5 come from weak foundations in earlier topics.
- Step-by-step worked examples. I solve a question with you, then you try a similar one yourself while I guide you, until you can do it on your own.
- Exam-focused practice. We work through past-year SPM questions, learn how marks are given, and practice time management so you feel confident on exam day.
- Real-life examples. I connect topics to real-world uses, including the technology I work with, to make math more interesting and easier to remember.
- A safe space to ask questions. No question is too small. I'm patient and I'll explain things in different ways until they click.
Lesson format
- Each lesson is usually 1.5 to 2 hours. There's time for teaching, guided practice and a quick recap.
- Short exercises to do between lessons, plus progress updates for parents if requested.
- I teach in English, and can explain in [Bahasa Melayu / Tamil] if that helps.
