About Laura
I didn’t take a shortcut into education. My journey started on the ground floor in school support roles before I officially qualified as a teacher 10 years ago.
Originally specialising in Design & Technology, I spent years working for a large academy trust before transitioning into specialist SEND education. Today, I bring that entire decade of diverse classroom experience into specialised online tuition.
My Approach is Simple:
- Find and Fix the Gaps: When a student struggles with maths, it’s usually just a missing puzzle piece from a previous school year. I specialise in tracing back, finding those gaps, and building rock-solid foundations.
- Patience & SEND Expertise: My background means I understand maths anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia. I know how to adapt my communication so every student feels safe making mistakes.
- Visual & Practical: My DT roots mean I don't just teach abstract rules from a textbook; I make maths highly visual and practical so it actually clicks.
I am dedicated to closing learning gaps and proving to students that they are fully capable of succeeding.

Is your child falling behind in KS2 or panicking about the GCSE Foundation paper?
They don't need a strict lecturer. They need a patient, structured approach that strips away the jargon and builds genuine confidence.
Instead of "cramming a topic and moving on," I use a Spiral Curriculum. This means we constantly revisit core concepts throughout the year, layering on complexity each time.
This continuous review ensures they actually remember what they've learnt when exam day arrives.
I use a premium digital classroom setup. Your child doesn't just passively watch a screen. We write, draw, and solve problems together in real-time.
After every lesson, I upload their neat whiteboard notes, targeted homework, and helpful resources into one organised, stress-free folder.
Every lesson balances a quick confidence-boosting warm-up, a visual concept breakdown, and real exam technique.
Ready to reduce the homework stress? Book a free consultation call today to chat about your child's goals and build a stress-free plan to get their grades where they need to be.
