I am a friendly, patient and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a real passion for teaching Mathematics and helping students overcome various topic difficulties. I initially focus on areas students find difficult and/or have gaps in their understanding. Once these gaps are bridged and their understanding of various topics is improved students gain confidence and progress can be rapid.
I have provided maths tuition for over ten years helping many students gain a better understanding of various maths topics and pass exams. I have tutored on a one to one basis as well as within a Saturday School.
Although I trained as a Mechanical Design Engineer, and work as a freelance engineer, I have a real passion for teaching Mathematics and helping students to overcome various topic difficulties. I enjoy seeing students excel and gain confidence in a subject which they previously struggled with and as a result, I have previously taught both GCSE and Key Stage 3 maths at local Saturday Schools for 10 years. I also have a number of years experience providing GCSE and Key Stage 3 maths tutoring on a one to one basis.
I also have experience of tutoring adults for work related maths tests.
