About Sofiya
I support GCSE Geography and Citizenship students by providing clear, structured and student-friendly tutoring designed to build both understanding and exam confidence.
Having recently completed these subjects myself, I understand the challenges students face and the most effective ways to revise, learn content, and approach exam questions.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and focus areas. Each session is structured with a clear objective, followed by practice and review to ensure progress is consistent and measurable.
Although I am not a qualified teacher, I have recently achieved my GCSEs in Geography and Citizenship and have a strong, up-to-date understanding of the specification and exam requirements. This allows me to offer relevant, relatable support from a student perspective. I will also be taking A-level geography, so will have a deeper understanding of the course.
My sessions are aimed at KS4 students (Years 10–11) who are studying GCSE Geography and Citizenship and want to improve their understanding, revision skills, and overall exam performance in a supportive and encouraging environment.

My tutoring approach is based on being a recent GCSE student, so I focus on explaining topics in a clear, simple way that feels easy to understand rather than overly formal or complicated. I use a mix of short explanations, guided practice questions, and exam-style answers so students can see exactly how to pick up marks in Geography and Citizenship exams.
A typical lesson would usually last around 60 minutes. This gives enough time to go through a topic, test understanding with questions, and finish with quick exam practice or recap activities.
In terms of experience, I have recently completed both GCSE Geography (Edexcel B) and Citizenship (AQA), so I am very familiar with the content, exam structure, and revision methods that worked for me.
These lessons are aimed at KS4 students (around Year 10–11) who are studying GCSE Geography and/or Citizenship and want support with understanding content, improving exam technique, or revising key topics before assessments.
