About Sophie
I have more than 8 years of experience teaching ESL to college students from diverse academic backgrounds. My teaching style focuses on encouragement, clarity, and practical improvement.
I help students strengthen academic writing, grammar understanding, vocabulary usage, and speaking confidence. I also support them in preparing assignments, presentations, and group discussions.

Motivation is very important in my teaching. I encourage students to overcome fear and build confidence in speaking. I recognise their progress and guide them step by step towards improvement. When students struggle with grammar or pronunciation, I use problem-solving strategies to simplify complex topics. I provide targeted exercises to strengthen weak areas and ensure clear understanding. Integrity is one of my core values, and I maintain honesty and professionalism in every class.
Flexibility helps me adjust my teaching methods according to different age groups and proficiency levels. Along with ESL, I also teach vocabulary building, business English, academic skills, and communication training.
