About Niall
I’m Niall, lovely to meet you!
I’m a recent postgraduate from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, with five years of teaching experience. As an active performer, I’ve given concerts across London, including at Milton Court Concert Hall and St Mary Islington, as well as across Europe, in places as grand as Vienna.
Although I specialise in classical piano, I have a deep passion for many genres of music, including jazz, pop and musical theatre. I’m lucky enough to perform all over the country, from The Venue in Leeds to the Concorde Club in Worthing.
My approach to teaching has been shaped by the professors and tutors who have inspired me throughout my own musical education, which began at the age of five. I always make an effort to understand the student in front of me and tailor lessons to them as an individual. Whether that means working towards ABRSM exams, preparing for GCSE or A Level performances, or simply picking up a new skill for a lifetime of enjoyment, I meet each student where they are and help them stay motivated and satisfied every step of the way.

Lessons are one hour long and are tailored to each student’s level, interests and goals. I work with students from beginner level through to advanced, whether you’re starting from scratch, or returning to the piano.
Lessons usually combine work on repertoire with technique, musicianship and practical skills such as sight-reading, depending on what you want to achieve. I’m happy to work towards ABRSM exams, GCSE and A Level performances, auditions, or simply help you learn music that you love.
I like lessons to feel focused and productive, but also relaxed and enjoyable. We’ll work together to identify what you want to improve, and I’ll give you clear, practical things to work on between lessons so that you can see your progress from week to week.
