Super Tutor

Mehdi is one of our best Persian tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Mehdi

Since 2018 I have taught Persian language both independently as well as at language schools. In addition, I organise workshops and cultural events (e.g., museum tours, film nights, poetry workshops etc) together with a variety of experts in Persian language and Iranian culture.

About the lesson

I teach Persian across different levels of proficiency (i.e., beginners, intermediate and advanced). Beginner level For my standard beginners classes, I cover the Persian alphabet and sound system and teach you how to read and write individual words. You will also learn how to talk about your family relationships, the home, colours, numbers, daily routines, time, and education. By the end of this series of lessons, you will be familiar with beginner-level conversational skills and you will have a basic understanding of Persian grammar including personal pronouns, verb formations and conjugations, the present and simple past tenses, possessive forms and constructions, and other basic grammatical structures. The language of instruction is English, but I also use Persian to the extent that is feasible. I teach Persian grammar through doing exercises and role playing dialogues with the teacher or with fellow classmates. For this reason, both my group and privates lessons are interactive. After each lesson, I ask students to do homework where they can take the opportunity to submit the assignments and receive (written) feedback.

I cannot recommend Mehdi highly enough! I was struggling significantly with my statistics course, but his patience and ability to break down complex concepts into clear, understandable explanations were absolutely invaluable. He never made me feel rushed and always ensured I truly grasped the material before moving on. Furthermore, his hourly rate is very fair, especially for the quality of tutoring you receive.

I’m taking Mehdi's statistics class, and he’s phenomenal. He has a real knack for explaining complex statistical concepts in a way that's actually understandable. He doesn’t just present formulas; he breaks them down with clear examples and walks me through the logic behind each step. I strongly recommend him!
