About Guillermina
Hello, my name is Guillermina. I am a veterinary surgeon with a PhD in biological sciences. Since 2022, I have worked as a research methods and statistics tutor in higher education. I have also worked as a lecturer in biological sciences in previous years. I enjoy teaching and tutoring students - my aim is to empower students to reach their own academic and research goals.

I provide support for undergraduate and postgraduate students in every stage of the research process, from defining a research question, conducting a literature review, and planning a research project, to data collection and analysis as well as the writing up. I usually meet students for 30-45 minutes depending on their specific needs. I have a flexible, constructivist approach to learning. I strive to support students to reach the successful completion of their research project as well as the acquisition of relevant academic skills, such as reading and writing, critical thinking and data analysis skills. I can support students from most disciplines, but most of my tutees have a background in biology, medicine, psychology or social sciences.
