I've been a personal tutor for high school level math, biology, and chemistry for over 6 years and have brought my student grades up from the 70s to the 90s. I love helping others understand class material better and gain confidence in STEM subjects! I typically get the course outline and structure each lesson around specific topics my students struggle with, and/or an overall summary of the material for upcoming evaluations. I've been described as friendly, engaging, and able to explain concepts clearly.

I initially struggled a lot with my first unit in Biology 30. I was recommended Serena by a peer due to her expertise in the field of molecular genetics and physiology. Serena does such a great job of explaining concepts in a unique and easy to understand fashion. Her lessons plans are easy to follow and logical. I got 100% on my unit test with her help. I am sure Serena can do the same for other students, book a lesson with her as soon as you can!
Serena is an outstanding teacher! She is patient, knowledgeable, and passionate. These are the qualities of a tutor you definitely want to book with! It’s also worth noting that Serena always puts her students’ learning first and she finds creative ways to engage her students. Book a session with her today!
