About Georgia
Hello!
I am currently studying for my PhD in Russian Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Sussex. I am a published short story and micro fiction writer, and also run my own online magazine!
My undergrad and Masters degrees are both from the University of Chester (a city which is very near and dear to my heart), where I also ran their creative writing magazine and hosted their open-mic nights.
Naturally, I have a high skill set, and am very knowledgeable about English Literature. At GCSE and A Level, I received A*s, a First Class undergrad degree and a Distinction in my Masters, which lead me to my acceptance at the University of Sussex.
I am so genuinely passionate about literature, and can't really think of anything I enjoy talking about more, so hopefully my natural adoration for my subject will inspire you as well. GCSE English Literature really solidified for me what I was going to do with my future, and it was my English teacher that showed me I could make a career out of what I was most passionate about, and I'd love to provide that same kind of inspiration and enthusiasm for someone else.
I'd like to leave you with some recommendations! My favourite novels are A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and I have a very soft spot in my heart for Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.
