About Michael
When I first started teaching, I realized that many students these days do not understand the difference between written and spoken English, because they would try to write the way they speak. I found that in addition to teaching academic subjects in my field, I had to teach them how to write as well. This was more than a challenge for me. It was a source of great satisfaction to know I was sending them out into the world better prepared to make a good impression with their writing.
