About Elisabetta
I have recently completed and submitted my PhD thesis, which explores the use of translation to access highly specialised scientific knowledge within the healthcare system in England. English is my second language, but I have lived and worked in the UK for the last 26 years. I am a qualified and certified professional translator, and I hold a BA (Philosophy) and Master’s (Translation Studies). I have lectured university students at the Open University and the London Metropolitan University, and I can understand the challenges international university students face during their academic journeys.
