About Shyanne
I am currently studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at university level and would like to help younger students feel more confident in their academic abilities. For me, it is important to be able to feel comfortable asking questions and taking small steps to understand a difficult subject, as it is rewarding to overcome the feeling of 'being stuck'. My goal is to help students feel motivated to learn and ultimately enable them to approach exam questions without any apprehensions. I will do this by providing a supportive and interactive environment, that keeps learning interesting and riveting, as well as productive.

My approach to tutoring is structured and interactive. I focus on building a strong understanding of key concepts by breaking them down into clear, small steps and helping students apply their knowledge through guided practice. I aim to be supportive and create a low-pressure environment where students feel confident in themselves. I use explanation and visual tools (such as diagrams or a whiteboard) to keep lessons engaging and to check understanding throughout. A typical lesson would last around 1 hour and include working through example questions together before the student attempts questions independently, with support given when needed. I am currently a Philosophy, Politics and Economics student which has given me strong abilities in analytical thinking, essay writing and breaking complex concepts down into manageable ideas. My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE students, studying English, Maths, Economics or related subjects.
