About Celia
Hello! My name is Celia and I am a philosophy undergrad at the University of Sheffield.
As a philosophy enthusiast, I strive to help young people understand and enjoy complicated, sometimes abstract concepts. I focus on exam preparation, including support with writing cogent essays and memorising key facts (this will help you max out both AO1 and AO2 marks).
My approach is flexible and varies on a student by student basis. Some of my students benefit from slowly untangling difficult arguments and ideas, while others may need extra support with converting those ideas into clear prose.
I have experience tutoring both philosophy and languages, which has helped me develop excellent intrapersonal and communication skills, allowing me to adapt myself to you or your child's needs.
I achieved over 90% (A*) in my Religious Studies A Level in 2025, and continue to pursue philosophy at an undergraduate level at a top university.

During our time together, my goal will be to help you understand complex topics by breaking them down into simple, digestible facts that you can easily recall during your exams.
As a former OCR Religious Studies Student (and current Philosophy undergrad) I understand the importance of being able to write clear, cohesive essays in limited amounts of time. This is why I greatly prioritise essay-writing technique and structure during my lessons, paired with an outstanding level of philosophical comprehension that will impress your examiners!
I offer 60 minute sessions, including a free trial where I can assess your current level and curate a plan that we can use to elevate your essays, marks, and (hopefully) your enthusiasm for philosophy!
I achieved over 90% (A*) in my Religious Studies A Level Exam in 2025, and I have three years of experience tutoring both philosophy, English, and Italian to a C2 level.
