About Melanie
I am a fun and energetic teacher. I teach because... the world is a place full of excitement and science is amazing! I am passionate about sharing that. We all remember our favourite teacher. Mine was Miss Copper, year 3. I still remember her 38 years later. Who is yours? And why?

I feel teaching is all about the needs of the student. We all have our own way of learning. Writing down lots of lines or trying to memorise lots of text is difficult for some people. I am dyslexic and for me, I had to learn in 3D and away from conventional models. With real-world examples that evolve with the student, I take teaching science... personally.
