My teaching style is a relaxed but highly encouraging one, letting the tutee pick which topics they want to focus on. I will then prepare a series of stimulating revision exercises that not only help with the topic in question but also focus on developing synoptic links with other areas of study.
I have been a mentor in maths and physics for the last year at Warwick School and have also been lead physics mentor during this period, organising the mentoring scheme for the entire department across all seven years of school. I now want to take what I have learned from these roles and help the wider community of students.
I am a hard working and passionate student who is currently studying for their A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry. I have received a conditional offer to read Physics at the University of Oxford, starting in October 2019. In addition to my studies, I was elected Head Boy and thrive in the plethora of diverse tasks associated with the role. I thoroughly enjoy leadership challenges whether it be in a military setting in my role as Colour Sergeant in the CCF, or on the sports field, where I have captained my school rugby team for the last five years. I am black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and am working towards my Grade 6 on the trumpet.
