I worked with Alison on freshman intro to reasoning mathematics course. I was having difficulty and Alison patiently worked with me to determine the root causes of my mathematical confusion. I've had trouble with math before and have always felt it is too difficult to face the hard stuff.
Alison gave me the chance to use my current knowledge to think about the next step. That was very different from what I had always seen or had people do for me. They never took the time to make sure I was the one thinking and understanding each jump. It was refreshing.
After doing some remedial stuff I absolutely needed we caught up to the class and I was confident to finish the semester! I got a low B and I never passed a math course before! I am so excited and happy to recommend Alison because of this!
