Recent Physics graduate providing lessons to all ages and levels. I am an experienced tutor who want to give all pupils the tools and methods to achieve their potential.
Each child is different so their teaching should be. I tailor each lesson to the individual either working from their curriculum or focusing on problem areas. Each lesson is structured as following: review past material, introduce and look at new material, discuss all possible methods and answers with several examples and finally practice yourself. Each lesson is different and interactive.
I have been tutoring on and off for 4 years whilst studying for my Physics degree at the University of Exeter. In that time I have taught 6 students ranging from the age of 8 to 16.
Two of my students were working towards the 11+ exam and scholarships. Both students achieved the required entrance marks for the specific school and one was awarded a full academic scholarship. Another of my students improved his GCSEs maths grade from a C to a B.

Fundraising Manager and Team Leader
Heather was responsible for sourcing the funds to run a two week summer camp for young carers in the Exeter and Devon area. This was achieved by applying for several grants including Children in Need along with organising numerous fundraising events for instance pitching a stall and bouncy castle at festivals. She was required to produce budgets and review spending throughout preparation and write financial and feedback reports.
During the camp, Heather was responsible for some fellow volunteers and a group of children. She was the point of communication between volunteers and management and was required to solve problems raised by volunteers quickly and effectively. When engaging with the children she had to be patient and encouraging.
Whilst studying for her GCSE and A Levels, Heather was recognised for her work ethic and was nominated for, and received, an award for her hard work and dedication. She also achieved recognition in the form of a trophy for the highest overall Mathematics A-Level mark and for the overall A-A* Level achievements award, given to the top students.
She is also a qualified First Aider (accredited by St John’s ambulance).
