About Isla
I have 11 years of experience teaching Physics to students preparing for exams, university foundations, and deeper scientific study. I earned a B.Sc in Theoretical Physics, which strengthened my understanding of the laws that shape motion, energy, and the structure of the universe. This academic background helps me guide students through both conceptual clarity and strong problem-solving skill.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and focused on building confidence. I believe learners succeed best when they understand ideas deeply instead of memorising formulas. I use visual explanation, step-by-step breakdowns, and real-world connections to make physics feel approachable and meaningful.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with physics through reading modern research, exploring new discoveries, and studying how physics supports engineering and technology. Physics feels much less intimidating when students realise it explains the everyday world in a structured and beautiful way. In my lessons, we explore forces, energy, waves, electricity, and basic modern physics through clear reasoning and practical examples. I focus on helping learners build understanding step by step, so equations become meaningful tools rather than confusing symbols. Each session encourages curiosity, calm thinking, and confidence through supportive explanation. Students learn to connect concepts with real experiences, from moving objects to light, sound, and technology.
My lesson approach is carefully adapted to each learner’s level. Beginners start with core ideas like Newton’s laws, simple circuits, and energy conservation. Intermediate students strengthen problem-solving methods, graph interpretation, and multi-step calculations. Advanced learners explore deeper topics such as electromagnetism, optics, and introductory relativity concepts. Practice problems are always paired with reasoning guidance so students improve both accuracy and understanding.
Physics teaches students a powerful way to think. Over time, learners develop sharper logic, stronger confidence, and a deeper appreciation for how the universe works. My goal is to help students feel supported, capable, and excited to master scientific thinking through physics.
